CBD Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, CBD Isolate: What are the Differences?

For months now, cannabidiol (CBD) products have become popular in France. Many CBD-derived products are now available: CBD flowers, CBD oil, CBD infusions, CBD cosmetics...

When we pay attention to their composition, we can observe certain mentions such as: “Full Spectrum CBD”, “CBD Board Spectrum” “99% CBD”, “CBD Isolate”. But for non-experts, these terms can be difficult to decipher.

LCF explains it all to you

FULL SPECTRUM CBD (OR FULL SPECTRUM CBD)

First of all, you should know that full-spectrum CBD comes from the complete extraction of the plant, meaning that all parts of the hemp are used (flowers, leaves, seeds & stems). This means that in addition to CBD, you will find other cannabinoids such as CBN, CBG, etc. (there are more than 140 other active molecules present in hemp) and thus you will benefit from all the active ingredients present. in this plant used and their interactions: this is what we call "the entourage effect"

BROAD SPECTRUM CBD

It is important to note that broad spectrum CBD oil is very similar to full spectrum CBD oil. The materials used are the same: flowers, leaves, seeds & hemp stems, meaning there will be a complete extraction of the plant.

The only difference between these two types of oil is the process. Indeed, to obtain broad-spectrum CBD oil, we add a step to remove the THC. With Board Spectrum CBD oil, you will benefit from the entourage effect (created by the interaction of different terpenes & cannabinoids) and the virtues of CBD oil on your body.

In addition, since it does not contain THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) or in undetectable quantities, broad spectrum CBD oil is 100% legal in France and Europe.

CBD ISOLATE

Unlike full-spectrum CBD, CBD isolate is an extraction of pure CBD, meaning that during the process, the CBD is isolated from all other cannabinoids (hence its name). You will therefore find a very high level of CBD in the isolate (often 99%) and will be presented in powder form, itself coming from crystals obtained after extraction. Isolating a molecule having an active ingredient is a classic procedure in pharmaceuticals. In fact, this allows the effectiveness of CBD to be optimized, however you will not benefit from the positive interactions of all the cannabinoids present in hemp.
